Hiring – Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Powell River Therapeutic Riding Association (PRTRA) is currently hiring Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors. This role is vital in supporting our therapeutic riding programs.

We’re Looking For:

• Individuals with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on horse experience
• Applicants who are reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
  Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors through CanTRA, PATH, or CHA– or those seriously interested in pursuing certification with our support

Applicants without the required horse experience will not be contacted.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Assisting with or teaching therapeutic riding lessons
• Preparing horses for sessions: grooming, tacking, warming up
• Mucking stalls, feeding, and general barn maintenance
• Supporting riders with physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges in a respectful and professional manner
